Episode BG8. Sinemorets – The Favorite Blue (no guide)
Hello, Bulgaria! 🇧🇬
Sinemorets is a place where blue is not just a colour – it is a mood. Located almost at the very edge of Bulgaria, between the sea and the mouth of the Veleka River, this village combines dramatic landscapes, wild nature and a sense of tranquility that is hard to describe. There is no other place on the Black Sea coast where the contrast between water, sand and greenery is so strong and the views so photographic. Every summer starts differently here, but ends with the same thought: ‘I’ll be back’.
Note that this is one of the first episodes in the canal. It still lacks the guide elements, ratings, and additional guidance you’ll see in later episodes. Thanks for being with us from the beginning!
There are no separate timecodes – this is from the very first episodes in the channel, before the structure with guide elements was introduced.

📝 Brief summary of the episode
Sinemorets impresses by combining the wild nature of Strandja with the softness of the sea. The Veleka estuary forms one of the most beautiful beach scenes in Bulgaria – a wide strip embraced by two waters. To the south, Butamyata beach offers more amenities, while to the north, towards Veleka, one feels an authentic closeness to nature. The village itself is small but full of atmosphere – cafes, guesthouses, artists, seaside people and a rhythm that doesn’t rush. The place keeps the balance between life and contemplation, between dynamism and sleepiness.
🔥 What will you see in this episode?
The footage traces the landscapes around Sinemorets from the air and from land – the mouth of the Veleka, the blue-green strip that separates the sea from the river, the soft lines of the coast and the dramatic cliffs to the south. The very dynamics of the place are traced – boats, walks, sunsets. The episode focuses on the natural interaction between water and man – no unnecessary interference, no embellishment. This is Sinemorets as it is – pure, calm and strong in its presence.
⭐ Location assessment
The assessment is entirely based on my personal impression and is made according to several main criteria considered separately. I use a 5-point scale where (1/5 – Very bad, 2/5 – Bad, 3/5 – Average, 4/5 – Good, 5/5 – Excellent)

Access to the beach is possible by car, the latter section includes a steep dirt road requiring caution and slow driving. | ★★★★☆ |
| History 📜 |
The area is rich in archaeological finds, including Thracian mounds and fortresses, but there is no representation of this history on the beach itself. | ★★★☆☆ |
| Condition 🛠️ |
The beach is clean and well-maintained, with a well-preserved natural environment. Visitors should be careful in case of strong excitement. | ★★★★★ |
| Conveniences 🚻 |
There is a restaurant and a surf club that offer basic services, but lack other amenities such as umbrellas and sun loungers. | ★★★★☆ |

✅ Conclusion
Sinemorets does not need advertising – it does it itself. A place that combines breathtaking views with the feeling that time has a different course. It’s not just a destination – it’s an emotional dot on the map. Everyone who has been there brings something of it. And for those who haven’t – the invitation remains to discover their ‘favourite blue’.
