There are sections with ladders, platforms over the water, and open rock windows through which the river peeks as if in a movie strip. The signage is clear, and the experience is suitable for families and travelers looking for accessible wildness. Off the main trail, less-traveled routes branch off to high points and cliff drop-offs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"2082\">The route starts near the town of Lukovit and follows an eco-trail built along the Zlatna Panega River &#8211; one of the largest karst springs in Bulgaria. It is stated that the trail has an exact length of about 2 km and is easy to pass, but in some places there are steep and slippery sections. The importance of comfortable shoes is stressed. There is a choice of two routes at the start, which converge at a gazebo in a clearing. Visitors can walk on wooden bridges built over the river itself and anchored into the rocks. Boating is recommended, where the captain can drop you off directly at the Dark Hole Cave to avoid repeating the route. You can enter the cave with flashlights, but there is a lack of lighting and safe infrastructure.
